- Take 1 Tbs ghee
- Get 1 tsp zeera
- Get 2 red chili sabut
- Take Pinch red chili powder
Dal Palak literally translates to 'lentils with spinach'. Dal is the Hindi word for lentils and Palak refers to spinach in Hindi. This dish is also referred to as Spinach Dal, or Spinach & Lentil Curry. It is made in just about all regions of India with slight variations.
Steps to make Daal paluk:
- Daal ko dho kar 15 minutes bhigo dain.
- Now add huldi, red chili, salt, ghee and water.
- Now give this 5 minutes pressure in cooker.
- Now nut and wash paluk.
- Step 2 : In a pan put oil, zeera, hing, lahsan paste and garlic paste. Let it bhonefy
- Now add green chilli and cook. Then chopped onion and pieces of tomatoes. Make them soft.
- When it become soft then add salt, red chili and coriander powder.
- Now add pressure di hue daal. And cook it.
- Add cut ki hue paluk. And cook for 2 minutes. Then add lemon juice and fresh coriander and cook for 2 minutes.
- Now dish out this daal and prepare tarka.
- For tarka in a pan put ghee, zeera, sabut laal mirch and pinch of red chili powder.
- Dish out ki hue daal pay tarka laga dain.
- Mazaydaar Tor daal paluk ready hay.

Palak Dal is nothing but dal temperd with Palak tadka but that process is long and honestly not as tasty as the one I am about to share with you. I am going to prepare this Dal by first preparing the tadka of onion, ginger, garlic, palak (Spinach) and tomatoes then adding Dal to it. Dal Palak or Spinach Dal is a simple everyday Dal which is loaded with the goodness of both, Protein and Iron.
