Lamb Keema Matar is a curry dish made with lamb minced meat and green peas. It is one of the traditional curries from Indian/ Pakistani regions. In Urdu/ Hindi, keema literally means minced meat, and matar means green peas. And this type of curry dish (curry is also called Salan in Urdu) is one of my boys' favourites.
Instructions to make Qeema matar/ Minced Meat with Pea:
- Wash minced meat and keep in strainer
- Meanwhile cut all veggies
- Blend tomatoes, set aside
- Heat Oil, fry Onion until golden brown, add blended tomatoes 1. Add all the seasoning,mix it well, bhonofy 1. Add minced meat with ginger garlic paste, mix it well 1. Add 1/2 glass water 1. Cover and cook until minced meat half done
- Add Peas and Potatoes 1. Again cover and cook until full done
- Bhonofy for couple of minutes until no water 1. Lastly add Green chillies and Kasuri methi 1. Enjoy - Serve Hot with Lacha paratha
