  1. First of all cut the bananas into small pieces and then steam them till they become soft.
  2. Heat a pan and put ghee in it and then roast the cashew nuts and raisins in it and then add grated coconuts in it.
  3. After 2 minutes add the sugar in it and then add cardamom powder in it.
  4. Roast them in low flame till the sugar melts.
  5. After steaming the bananas remove the cover and mash them well like a dough.
  6. Then grease your hand with ghee and make a bowl like shape and fill the stuffing in it.
  7. Close it like an elongated shape.
  8. Heat a kadai with oil in it and dip fry them till they become golden brown.
  9. Now your Unnakai / Unnakaya are ready. Serve hot with a cup of tea.
